Today Beau started trying to jump! He would squat down and then push up, but then would just fall back on his bottom. He hasn't got "air time" yet, but he was sure having fun!
We went to a lake about 45 minutes away this past weekend with grandpa and grandma Ferrell. We were out on the boat for a few hours, and Beau seemed to like every minute of it. He never slept once, but he sure was tired when we got home.
He is also getting his molars in. The top 2 are in, and now he is working on the bottom 2. As always, low grade fever, decreased appetite, and only a little grumpy:)-
He is loving going outside, playing with (or bothering) Mallie, and balls balls balls! He loves to play with balls and has even started catching them once in awhile. Check out the new video from my dad:

Sunday was baby dedication at our church. Basically, it is a pledge for the parents that we will do the best we can to raise our child to love the Lord and follow His ways. There was about 60 families that participated. Beau did pretty good, luckily it only lasted about 45 minutes. Both the grandparents were able to come. It was a neat event!

Beau had his 1 yr check up last week. 31 1/2 inches, 21 lbs 8 oz - that puts him in the 90th percentile for height and 40th for weight. He is doing great, everything checked out ok;) He is one busy body - we are constantly chasing him around - which he thinks is soooo funny! His favorite toys are still any kind of ball, and I am pretty sure he knows what it is because he pointed to one the other day and said "ba". This sunday at church is baby dedication, so we will hopefully get a few good pictures of him to post!

Beau is a 1 yr old now!!!:( That is the fastest year I have had yet - and I hear they just get faster.... Beau is doing great! He had a very fun Easter at the grandparents. He got Easter baskets, of course, and even had an Easter egg hunt! He had alot of fun!
On his birthday, we went to a couple parks - he loves the swing and slides! Then we had homemade pizza for supper and then went to Orange Leaf for frozen yogurt. He wasn't sure about it until about the 3rd bite, then decided it was pretty good!

We had a big bash for his first birthday - lots of people, lots of cake, and he got lots of COOL, but noisy toys!:)
He didn't really get into the cake - I had to put his hand in it, and even then he looked like "what is this sticky mess all over my hand?" He did eat a few bites, but it is obvious he hasn't developed a sweet tooth like his mama:)- We haven't given him much of that stuff yet anyway.
Beau is growing like a weed. He is about 31 inches, 23 pounds. His appetite has definitely increased, he is practically running, and throwing and starting to catch a ball. He enjoys bugging Mallie and playing outside. He has started to dance to music, and jabbers all the time. He occasionally says "dog" and "dadadada". He also has actually started sitting long enough to go through a SHORT book! He likes to turn the pages!
He sure is alot of fun!
