Yet another adventure! Grandpa, Mimi, Aunt Jennie, and I took Beau to the Tanganyka zoo the other day. It is smaller than the main Wichita Zoo, but it has alot of fun animals to pet! Beau got to pet rabbits, goats, a Kangaroo, and a porcupine! Grandpa caught some good clips on video!

Last weekend we took Beau camping. Papa & Nana have a boat and a camper so we met them at Wilson Lake. I was pretty nervous taking a 14 month old camping in the awful heat we have been having. Plus sleeping 4 adults and him in a camper didn't sound like a plan for success, but we had a great time! The experience couldn't have been better! We spent most of the day friday out on the boat. Beau has a little float he could sit in and get cooled off in the water. Jason and I got to ski, tube, and Jason tried wakeboarding. We headed back to camp late afternoon, cooled off in the camper, cooked some supper and ate s'mores. Fortunately, clouds came in to cool things off, and we even got some rain overnight. Beau was so tuckered out, he slept great that night! Then saturday we went out on the lake again, spent most the day, and headed back home that evening. Beau is such a trooper!

Last weekend Beau finally got to play with his second cousin? (i think) Charlie. It was fun to have all that side of the family together, which usually only happens once a year. Charlie and Beau seemed to have fun, although you can see in this video that Beau is a bit ornery:) He also discovered bubble wrap, so he had some fun with that!

The older Beau gets, the more and more fun we have! He has been doing all sorts of things this summer already! Playing in his little pool in the back yard, going to the country club, where Jason works, to swim in the wading pool (perk of the job!), shopping, playing with grandparents and aunt Jennie, going to the lake, and shooting off fireworks:) Ok, so the last one maybe just watching:)

This holiday weekend Beau's Nana & Papa (Jason's parents) took us out to Cheney Lake on their boat. We had such a great time. The weather couldn't have been better, and the lake was so calm. Surprisingly it was not busy until about the time we left. Grandpa and Mimi got to come too, they took all the pictures so I hope to get some soon! Beau had a little float that he got into, and he really seemed to enjoy the water!

Then, yesterday we had some friends over to shoot off some fireworks. Beau really liked throwing the Snap'nPops, and watching fireworks that crackled and popped, but he didn't care for the loud whistling ones. He went to bed later than normal, and is still sleeping........

Unfortunatley we had to switch babysitters AGAIN:( Just for various reasons, nothing major. He will be going to Christian school childcare starting this week. It is VERY structured and they have lots of activities and lessons they start learning:) We are excited about the switch. He will finally have some boys to play with. The day we went to tour the classroom, there were several boys playing with some balls, and Beau immediately wanted down and started playing with them - good sign right? Anyway, they try to get the kids to take one longer nap after lunch, and they all sleep on cots in the same room. That will be VERY different from what he is use too, but I suppose they have a method to the maddness:)
