I can't believe Christmas is only 11 days away! This month is going by too fast! Christmas parties, school parties, shopping, baking, wrapping presents....it always seems so busy. Jason and I both get off several days for Christmas so we are excited to spend it in Pratt with family.
We have been reading one of Beau's Christmas books, which is the Christmas story, just about every night. He can tell me several characters in the nativity, and almost pronounce the 3 gifts right:) His favorite song is "Angels we have heard on high", and he asks to sing it at least a couple times a day. He loves that it talks about "plains".... I tried to explain the difference between planes and plains but he doesn't seem to care. So we sing it anyway!
We took Beau to Cabela's to see Santa. We were totally not expecting him to actually sit on Santa's lap, but he walked right up to him, said his name, and told him exactly what he wanted....Bravo and Echo from the Planes movie! So fun!
Beau named the elf Joey, so it has been fun waking up to see what Joey has been doing. I will post some pictures of some of the most fun ones....

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! We sure did! Spending time with family in Pratt and enjoying some amazing food!! The weather was so nice, we even got to enjoy some outdoor activities. We went for a walk to the park, Beau got to play on the playground, and see the Lemon Park Christmas lights. We also got to watch daddy and several other guys fly their RC airplanes. We had a great time!
In the swing of Christmas time now, decorations up, presents getting wrapped and under the tree, holiday activities, and baking of course! The elf came to visit Beau and stay all of the Christmas season, so it has been fun seeing where he is each morning:) The first day he brought Beau the Bulldog plane from the movie Planes, and he was SOOOOOO excited! Beau decided to name the elf Joey. So Joey will be surprising us everyday until Christmas! I hear he can be mischievous:)
Here are some recent pictures, Halloween, Thanksgiving party at school, and Christmas decorating.
Beau was Jase off Duck Dynasty for Halloween. He was quite the hit at the trunk or treat!

Beau got to Trunk or treat with his buddy Kalvin (dragon) and Tyson (knight).
 They sure had fun!

Just a fun fall photo:)

Beau decorated a tree for his room

This is Beau's own nativity and tree. Wasn't sure how it would work,
but he hasn't messed with it.... YET:)

Beau has become obsessed with planes. The movie Planes got him started, then daddy flying RC planes, and the toy planes he has been getting..... he makes them out of everything. He did this ALL BY HIMSELF...... serious! I was so impressed!!!

 Thanksgiving treat for school

Beau had a Thanksgiving party and I got to go. They did a short song and dressed up. As you can see he is the tallest of the class:)

Last weekend we went to Pratt for the first hunting trip of the season. It snowed most of the day Friday but was followed by a beautiful day Saturday and Sunday. We took advantage and went to the pumpkin patch! It was so much fun! Beau had a great time and didn't want to leave. There were so many activities to do, but of all things the sandbox was his favorite!

Beau is in full swing of preschool and has really enjoyed it. He loves playing with his friends of course,  but he also seems to really like his teacher. A couple weeks ago he even had his first homework! I was surprised to see preschoolers were getting homework but fortunately Beau enjoyed it! We are already going to be having parent teacher conferences next week! This is serious business now!

The weekend after Labor day we took a vacation to Table Rock with Jason's parents. It was so beautiful there! We couldn't have had better weather and since it was "after season", we pretty much had the whole lake to ourselves!

Beau had his own little floaty and became quite the "swimmer."
He paddled that thing all over!

This was our cabin at The Timbers resort.

After we got back from our trip Beau and I had one day opportunity to hit the Kansas State Fair. We met up with our good friend Judy in Hutchinson and had a great time. It was really hot, so Beau was exhausted when we were done, and fell asleep in the car before we even got out of our parking spot!

Practicing sorting his fruits, veggies, grains, meat and dairy.
Little stinker was pretty good at it too!

Of course he had to climb on ATV's...

and the tractors....

and then we hit the rides...

couldn't pass up the boats!

We went to an airshow here in Wichita and they
had a Kstate plane so we had to take a picture!

We went on the last camping trip of the season last weekend. We went to Milford to do some serious fishing. We had pretty good luck, but it was extremely windy and cold! We had to break out the coveralls one day! The first day was pretty weather so we hit a near by nature center.

Always got his racing face on:)

We also visited the fish hatchery and they were measuring catfish.

A major storm came through with the cold front and we got to see
a full double rainbow!! AMAZING!

The cool rainy summer is over I am afraid, and back to hot and dry! We have been camping the last couple of free weekends and having fun boating and trying to catch a fish. Beau loves camping and asks all the time when are we going again.
Beau started preschool last week and seems to be loving it. He says his favorite part is playing cars and trucks......hmmm that's all he does at home too! Anyway it seems to be going good, and he has had good reports so far:)

Enjoying the pool in the backyard. He is getting more and more brave,
running and jumping in, and dunking his head under.
