We spent the day relaxing and making homemade ice cream before shooting off some fireworks in the evening. Beau wasn't a big fan of any that made noise, so that was pretty much all of them. He did enjoy a few boxes of snap and pops, and then daddy put some ear protection on his little ears and that seemed to help him enjoy the big pretty ones a bit more.
We have had a busy summer! Aunt Jennie is finally here, but time is flying by too fast. She isn't here for much longer:( Beau has sure enjoyed playing with her! Beau and Mommy spent a couple days in Pratt while Jennie was there and Beau had his first fishing experience. Mikal bought him a cane pole and he caught his first fish! He had a hard time staying focused on watching the bobber for very long, but he had a big time, and has been asking to go fishing again soon!
We also went to a family reunion in Nebraska at Mahoney state park near Omaha. It was sooooo much fun! We stayed in a cabin, went to a wildlife refuge, played at the park, vistited a farm, and the weather was so perfect everyday! We had a great time reacquainting with relatives and relaxing on vacation!
